My Tarte Collection

Hi guys!

Happy Halloween! Today I have a Collection post for you and it's a good one! I never realized how many Tarte items I had purchased until I started grabbing things for this post. Tarte is one of my favorite brands because they are Vegan and cruelty free; and are never made with parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate, or gluten so you can feel good about using their products on your skin and around your babies.  As well as what they put into their makeup, their products are amazing when it comes to pigmentation, staying power, and color selection; not to mention they also offer the best Holiday sets! A few of the sets that I show below were Limited Edition but I've shared links to the 2013 sets that are closest to what I have, Enjoy!

Zoya Fall 2013 "Cashmeres"

As promised, each week on Monday I will have a pictures and swatches of a new Zoya collection to share. This week I'll be sharing the Cashmere collection, when I received this I very much overlooked it because I was just in complete awe of the Satins collection.  After trying these out I must say they are the perfect addition to any nail polish lover's collection! Each color is rich, bold, and gorgeous; they give that same feeling as warm cocoa does on a cool Fall night.  The colors are so much more beautiful than they appear in the bottle and I can honestly say I was amazed with application and the fullness of the shades. Enjoy!

The Halloween Tag

I glady interrupt your normal post-reading to bring you this special post: The Halloween Tag! I was so excited when I received the email from Kendra C over at Beauty By Kendra C to do the Halloween tag that she and Nikki (Fairest's Favorites) created!  I'm really trying hard to get into more tags & question posts so that my readers (you guys!) can learn more about me other than the sales I find and the nails I paint! I tag all of you (yes you) to answer in the comments or on your own blogs so that I can get to know you better, Hope you enjoy!

Check out Kendra's answers here and Nikki's answers here!

1. What is your favorite Halloween movie? Hocus Pocus!
2. What was your favorite costume? I'm going with a cat because in my adult life I was different variations of a cat for about 3 years straight!
3. Do you like haunted houses? No thank you!
4. What's your favorite candy? those green caramel apple suckers that come out at Halloween
5. Do you decorate for Halloween? yes, started this year!
6. Do you still dress up for Halloween? If yes, what will you be this year? I did before I had my son but haven't for the past 3 years. I may this year and if I do, I really want to be a Peacock this year!
7. What is the one Halloween candy you can't stand? Anything peanut butter flavored...
8. What's your best Halloween memory? My best halloween memory is handing out candy, that has always been my favorite part!
9. What song comes to mind when you think of Halloween? Monster Mash
10. What's your favorite part of Halloween? The spooky decorations (the cute ones!)
11. Would you rather trick or treat? Treat, definitely!
12. Candy Corn- take it or leave it? Leave it! I must have eaten too much as a child...
13. If a black cat crosses your path, what do you do? Pray that it doesn't mean bad luck
14. Do you carve/decorate pumpkins? Yes, especially now with my 3 year old!
15. How old were you when you stopped Trick-or-Treating? 12, and I cried so badly because my mother said that was the age that I wasn't allowed to go anymore
16. Festive Nail Art- Yes or No? I go as far as festive nail color but nothing more.

Thanks for checking me out,

Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara Review

Hi Ladies!

Let me start off by saying I'm not a mascara lover, I'm not one of those girls who is obsessed with them.  I really enjoy the difference that mascara coloring gives my lashes but otherwise I'm not really into them.  I've tried tons of them from different brands and spent quite a bit but I just don't see enough of a change in my lashes to spend crazy amounts of money on high end mascaras.  In that case I usually stick to the drugstore brands, especially since the life of any mascara should be 3 months.  Recently I tried a new mascara and really fell in love with the color, way it coated my lashes, & removal ease.  The mascara is the Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara, I picked up the darkest shade which was "Blackest Black" and I really must say I have been enjoying it.  I am not a lower lashes coater so I can't say much to that but I really enjoy this mascara and what it does for my lashes as far as volume.  The true test for me is at the end of the night when I remove it and it removes like a dream! This mascara sells for about $9.99 at drugstores and I really think everyone should give it a go! Enjoy!

Sephora VIB/Traveling Haul

This is a post that I never posted from the Sephora VIB sale last year, thought i'd share!

Hi Friends!

Hope that everyone had a great weekend! I spent mine passing out presents & holding babies, so it was a win win! Today I have my haul from my mid-April vacation to my parents, I had a going "cart" on Sephora that immediately got purchased during the VIB 15% off sale which included the Lorac Unzipped palette, Illamasqua cream blush in "Dixie", Illamasqua powder blush in "Hussy", & a Buxom Lip Cream in "Creamsicle". That same week Ulta was having 50% off Revlon & NYX from which I purchased the NYX cream blush in "", NYX Butter Glosses in "Peach Cobbler" & "", the Revlon Bronzer "", & the Revlon Colorstay Top Coat & "Seashell".  I wanted to try out the Rimmel 60 seconds nail polish so I picked up "Blu My Mind" as well as 2 glitters from the Sinful Colors nail line in the shades "" & "". So far I'm really loving my Buxom lip cream the most & I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be with the Lorac palette; I guess after lusting after it for so long I had way too high expectations for it. Have a great week!

Thanks for coming by!
