Maybelline Color Tattoo Collection & Swatches

Happy Wednesday!

Today I'm sharing a simple post, pictures and swatches of my Maybelline Color Tattoo collection.  I've noticed how much I love these and how large my collection has grown since these came out so I figured this may benefit someone in choosing along the way.  I own one Mac Paint pot in Painterly and I use it all the time, it is the perfect base for all eye shadows but these Color Tattoos definitely stand up to the quality and lasting time of the Paint pots and they down right beat Mac in the price department. I usually can catch a deal on the the color tattoos for $6.99 and Buy one Get one 1/2 off and a Mac Paint pot will cost you $21.  The Color Tattoos claim to last 24 hours but I've honestly never put them to that much of a test; they seem to handle my day to day eyeshadow wear pretty amazingly! Enjoy!

Bad to the Bronze, Pomegranate Punk, Tough as Taupe, Barely Branded
Creamy Beige, Pure Nude, Chocolate Suede, Sleek & Spice
Barely Beige, Mossy Green, Matte Brown, Just Beige, Rich Mahogany
Ulta has 3 links for Maybelline Color Tattoos and since I've collected from various collections, I thought I'd add all 3 here, here, & here.

Thanks for checking out my Color Tattoos, are there any favorite shades that I should add on my next trip?

Maybelline "Nudes" Palette

Hello Everyone!

I've been on the search for the new Maybelline nude palette for a few weeks now with no luck.  I thought I'd find it for sure at Rite Aid during the recent 40% off all Maybelline sale but I still had no luck.  When a new display at Target caught my eye I knew that it had to be mine and that I would be paying full price.  The palette costs only $9.99 and you get 12 beautiful neutral shadows,  it's simply beautiful and I can see myself getting some great use out of it this Summer.  It has a couple of copper shimmer shades which are my favorite so I know they will be getting the most use.  I'm also giving the Revlon Bold Lacquer mascara a try but I have yet to form an opinion on it so I'll keep you posted. Have you been able to get your hands on this palette & do you love it?  Enjoy the swatches below!

Maybelline Spring 2014 Dare to Go Nude

Welcome to my obsession with makeup that's come to be known as "My Collection".  Over the past few years I have created a love for Maybelline Limited Edition collections and finding the new products as soon as they come out as you can see here and here.  The Dare to Be Nude collection was no exception to this as I said in this post and after about a week of not finding any displays I had given up.  I just happened to stop in a CVS one morning when the clerk was actually putting together the brand new Dare to Be Nude display so I spent some time shopping around then came back and picked up a few things.  I still want 1 more of the quads and maybe one more the Color Tattoos but for now I'm pretty happy with the items I picked up.  I have about 7 of these quads that I've collected because they are just that great; probably my favorite finish when it comes to eyeshadows and great pigment for the drugstore. Enjoy!

L'Oreal Nude Ballet vs Maybelline Nude Illusion

Over the weekend I made a trip to CVS in search of 2 new nude lippies and to my shock, both were in stock! The 2 I was hoping to pick up were L'Oreal Colour Riche Extraordinare in "Nude Ballet" & Maybelline Colour Elixir in "Nude Illusion", whenever I try to find the Maybelline version it's sold out so it must be good! After buying these and swatching them I really see how similar they are but I'm glad I have both, they seem to be different formulas but in the same shade so I hope to enjoy them both for a while!

Maybelline Color Elixir Lip Color

Happy Friday!

Today I'd like to share my newest favorite lip product; the Maybelline Color Elixir Lip Colors.  If you were to ask me what is my most forgotten beauty product I would have to say lip products.  I've only recently become interested in lip products and am really only comfortable with nudes.  I have a few pink and reds here and there but nothing too bright or crazy for me.  I started with one of these shades and really enjoyed how long it lasted and how muted the color was.  I went on the hunt for swatches and deals and came up with 4 more to add to my collection.  Here are my swatches and pictures below, Enjoy!

My November Beauty Haul

Hi friends,

I went on vacation for the week of Thanksgiving and picked up a few items, I didn't allow myself to go completely crazy but I grabbed a few things I'd been lusting after.  I will have swatches and reviews of these products in the next couple of weeks as well as pictures of the brand spanking new Zoya collection for Spring 2014 so stay tuned! Enjoy!

The first thing I picked up was the Zoya Remove+ since my local Ulta doesn't seem to want to restock this for me, I've done a post on my Nail Must Haves and included this in it.

I've been looking for a fan brush to apply my highlighter since I don't own one but have had trouble with the $14 price tag that most of them have.  I saw someone on YouTube recommend the EcoTools as a much cheaper and comparable alternative to the high end and I've loved it the couple of times I've used it.
Next I started collecting shades of my new favorite lip product; the Maybelline Color Elixirs, I love the color selection and the staying power these have.
On my trip I picked up 2 new nail polishes from Essie's 2013 Winter collection; Sable Collar and Parka Perfect
While at Ulta I was having trouble choosing shades out of the NYX Butter Glosses when caught a glimpse of the Enchanted Kiss Butter Gloss Set. I will have swatches of each of my Butter Glosses when I post the review.
On Black Friday Sedona Lace had their awesome 50% off sale as well as a $5 coupon so I took advantage since I'd been waiting since last year's sale; I got the Se7ven Midnight Lace Synthetic Brush set but haven't had the chance to use it yet.
After much YouTube buzz about the Physician's Formula Glow Pearls, I thought I'd give it a try.  It's a drugstore highlighter I've wanted to try this out for a while and I'm glad I bit the bullet because it's just perfect.
Lastly I have this mascara that I bought on Vacation and I've been enjoying it, it's the L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly and I'll have the full review up later this week!

Products in this haul:
EcoTools Deluxe Fan Brush
Maybelline Color Elixirs
Zoya Remove+
Essie Winter 2013
NYX Enchanted Kiss Butter Gloss Set
Sedona Lace Se7ven Midnight Lace Synthetic Brush Set
Physician's Formula Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls
L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara

Did you guys catch any Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals??

My Ulta & CVS Haul

Hi Guys!

Today I'd like to share a small Ulta/CVS Haul. I've been searching for the Limited Edition Maybelline Color Tattoo's in "Just Beige" & "Matte Brown" and today I found a full display at CVS so I happily snatched them up for Buy One Get One 50% off! Next I went to Ulta (since I haven't been in a couple of months) and checked out the NYX section and all of the Single Eye Shadow shades were on clearance for $2.49! I have a few of these and the quality is fabulous for the price so I picked up 4 more to add to my collection. A few of the shadows are also on sale on Ulta's website but it's pretty slim pickings. NouveauCheap even featured my picture over on her blog, thank you G! Last but not least, I wanted to try the Essence express dry drops because I've heard just how awesome they are and they only cost $2.99 so I figured I'd give it a try! Pictures below, enjoy!

Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara Review

Hi Ladies!

Let me start off by saying I'm not a mascara lover, I'm not one of those girls who is obsessed with them.  I really enjoy the difference that mascara coloring gives my lashes but otherwise I'm not really into them.  I've tried tons of them from different brands and spent quite a bit but I just don't see enough of a change in my lashes to spend crazy amounts of money on high end mascaras.  In that case I usually stick to the drugstore brands, especially since the life of any mascara should be 3 months.  Recently I tried a new mascara and really fell in love with the color, way it coated my lashes, & removal ease.  The mascara is the Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara, I picked up the darkest shade which was "Blackest Black" and I really must say I have been enjoying it.  I am not a lower lashes coater so I can't say much to that but I really enjoy this mascara and what it does for my lashes as far as volume.  The true test for me is at the end of the night when I remove it and it removes like a dream! This mascara sells for about $9.99 at drugstores and I really think everyone should give it a go! Enjoy!

Maybelline Fall 2013 On the Runway Eyeshadow Quads "Violet Femmes" and "Fall Temptation"

Hi friends!

I'm sharing 2 eyeshadow quads from the Maybelline Fall 2013 Runway collection, which are from the Eye Studio Color Plush Silk line.  As soon as I saw these quads showing up on blogs I knew that I needed them. I waited for a great sale and grabbed the 2 that I'd been lusting after. Fall Temptation is more of a neutral palette with a shimmer or sheen to the colors and Violet Femmes is deep purple shades with the same shimmer/sheen texture. I absolutely adore these quads and own about 7, I'm planning on sharing all of the quads in my collection in a later post but for now here are pics and swatches of the Fall quads, Enjoy!

It's Friday, how about a two-fer?

Meaning a two-post day, not that I have anything to give away just yet. I just wanted to follow up with a picture for today. The picture is of my lashes with 1 coat of Maybelline One by One, I could've used 2 but to my surprise the product started to clump just the slightest bit & I didn't want to push my luck. I really like the way it helps my lashes look just that little bit longer but still natural so I'll keep this on hand for natural looking lash days. I also have the Instant Age Rewind DCRC under my eyes & I think it does a fantastic job of matching my skin tone & concealing any dark areas, the verdict is still out on whether I am allergic or not.

P&P Friday Edition

In my travels this week I had 7 Maybelline products on my list, (really only 3 because 4 of the items were just different flavors/colors). Rite Aid was having a 40% off sale so I thought it would be the perfect time to pick up those couple of items I've been hearing so much about & wanting to try.  On both(yes, both) of my trips to the store I managed to pick up 4 & 3 items each. On my Wednesday trip I grabbed Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Eraser, Baby Lips in Peach Kiss & Quenched along with my first tube of The Falsies in Blackest Black. On my Thursday trip I picked up One by One mascara & 2 more tubes of Baby Lips (Grape Vine & Peppermint).

I was so excited to try The Falsies but couldn't fathom going to pick it up with naked eyes so this picture is with the Falsies on top of my CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume. I will definitely try it again & post my pics of just the Falsies when I get around to using it alone. I couldn't believe how "falsie-d" my lashes looked & neither could my hubby or friend who both thought they looked extremely dramatic.
Once again with the: not traveling to buy mascara with a naked eye, I was already wearing L'Oreal Voluminous(1 coat) on my lashes. Even after wearing Voluminous all day & adding One by One my lashes looked separated & volumized. I can't wait to try this product by itself(today) so I'll be sure to post pictures so that I can have an accurate account of the look it gives.

On to the Baby Lips, all I can say is that I am in love; from the super cute packaging to the different colors/flavors I just adore them(hints: why I own 4 now). My favorites are the Quenched, which is a sweet, can't put my finger on it smell that is clear and lustrous on my lips. Coming in a close second is: the Peppermint, probably because the holidays are coming up & I'm just in a cheery peppermint mood. Peach Kiss & Grape Vine are awesome as well & have a little hint of the named colors to them, hubby really liked the Grape Vine on me & I love the feeling of hydration with a hint of color since I'm not a big lipstick girl.
L to R: Peach Kiss, Quench, Peppermint, Grape Vine

I paid $3.43 for The Falsies after a $1 Maybelline mascara coupon & the 40% sale. Rite Aid price: $7.39
I paid $1.27 for each Baby Lips with the $1 off Baby Lips coupon, through their Facebook page & after the 40% sale. Rite Aid price: $3.79
I paid for somewhere around $4.50(lost my receipt) One by One after the 40% sale. Rite Aid price: somewhere around $7.50
I paid $3.69 for Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Eraser Concealer with my $2 Maybelline Face coupon. Rite Aid price: $9.49

I will post more on the Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Eraser Concealer as I try it out more & find out if I like it or am allergic.
