Ipsy Bag March 2014 "Destination Beauty"

Happy Thursday!

Last week I received my March Ipsy bag which is themed "Destination Beauty" and I am quite excited to use 2 of the 4 products.  I'm most excited to try use the NYX Love In Rio trio in Moonlit Skinny Dip, although I really enjoy large palettes I also enjoy the ease of a small palette that I can just throw in my purse or put together a look without thinking.  The other item I'm looking forward to using is the BareMinerals Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready, I will have swatches of both products below.  The first of the 2 that I wasn't too excited about is the Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer, because I have very sensitive skin and I've only found 1 primer that actually works well with my skin. The other is the Chella Indigo Blue Eyeliner and that is strictly because I don't wear eyeliner on a typical day, especially not blue eyeliner, so I've swapped it with a fellow blogger for the Be a Bomshell eyeshadow "quad" that others received in their bag. In addition to my bag this month I received 2 lip products due to the February Ipsy bag Pop Beauty fiasco which you can read over on Zadidoll's Blog.  I am pretty happy that Ipsy remedied the situation even if the problem was absolutely not their fault.I received Pop Beauty Plump Pout in Fuchsia Freesia & Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Anarchy.

NYX Enchanted Kiss Butter Gloss Set and More!

I thought I'd share swatches of my from the NYX Enchanted Kiss Butter Gloss Set as well as the other 3 in my collection. Out of the 3 I owned previously Maple Blondie was my favorite and of the new shades I'm loving Apple Strudel. These feel great on my lips and last so I must say that I"m pretty pleased with them and you can't beat the price of $4.99. Ulta usually has a BOGO deal as well as the $3.50 off $10 coupon and I think they're a steal at that price! Enjoy!

My November Beauty Haul

Hi friends,

I went on vacation for the week of Thanksgiving and picked up a few items, I didn't allow myself to go completely crazy but I grabbed a few things I'd been lusting after.  I will have swatches and reviews of these products in the next couple of weeks as well as pictures of the brand spanking new Zoya collection for Spring 2014 so stay tuned! Enjoy!

The first thing I picked up was the Zoya Remove+ since my local Ulta doesn't seem to want to restock this for me, I've done a post on my Nail Must Haves and included this in it.


I've been looking for a fan brush to apply my highlighter since I don't own one but have had trouble with the $14 price tag that most of them have.  I saw someone on YouTube recommend the EcoTools as a much cheaper and comparable alternative to the high end and I've loved it the couple of times I've used it. 

Next I started collecting shades of my new favorite lip product; the Maybelline Color Elixirs, I love the color selection and the staying power these have.

On my trip I picked up 2 new nail polishes from Essie's 2013 Winter collection; Sable Collar and Parka Perfect

While at Ulta I was having trouble choosing shades out of the NYX Butter Glosses when caught a glimpse of the Enchanted Kiss Butter Gloss Set. I will have swatches of each of my Butter Glosses when I post the review.

On Black Friday Sedona Lace had their awesome 50% off sale as well as a $5 coupon so I took advantage since I'd been waiting since last year's sale; I got the Se7ven Midnight Lace Synthetic Brush set but haven't had the chance to use it yet.

After much YouTube buzz about the Physician's Formula Glow Pearls, I thought I'd give it a try.  It's a drugstore highlighter I've wanted to try this out for a while and I'm glad I bit the bullet because it's just perfect.

 Lastly I have this mascara that I bought on Vacation and I've been enjoying it, it's the L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly and I'll have the full review up later this week!

My Ulta & CVS Haul

Hi Guys!

Today I'd like to share a small Ulta/CVS Haul. I've been searching for the Limited Edition Maybelline Color Tattoo's in "Just Beige" & "Matte Brown" and today I found a full display at CVS so I happily snatched them up for Buy One Get One 50% off! Next I went to Ulta (since I haven't been in a couple of months) and checked out the NYX section and all of the Single Eye Shadow shades were on clearance for $2.49! I have a few of these and the quality is fabulous for the price so I picked up 4 more to add to my collection. A few of the shadows are also on sale on Ulta's website but it's pretty slim pickings. NouveauCheap even featured my picture over on her blog, thank you G! Last but not least, I wanted to try the Essence express dry drops because I've heard just how awesome they are and they only cost $2.99 so I figured I'd give it a try! Pictures below, enjoy!

Ipsy Bag June 2013 "on the Wild Side"

Welcome back!

Long time no type, i've been so busy & really haven't had much to share but  I am kicking it up a notch with new posts this week. In this post I am sharing my June Ipsy Bag, titled: "on the Wild Side". This wasn't my favorite bag & it's hard when you see other bags & wish you had gotten some of their goodies but as I've said before, as I may have not loved this bag it may have been right up someone else's alley.  I think i'll get the most use out of the Chella Highlighter pencil & NYX blush, I don't own anything Chella but I do have a few NYX blushes both cream & powder & they are pretty good quality. A Zoya Ulta Deal & my Pixie Dust Haul

Hello again Friends,

I recently showed you my Zoya "Earth Day Exchange" Haul so I thought I'd share my little Zoya Ulta Haul. Since the Pixie Dusts were not included in the promotion from Zoya.com I thought i'd make a special trip over to Ulta & at least use my $3.50 off $10 coupon to save some money. When I got there I noticed they were having a special on Zoya for Buy 2 Get 1 free which included the Pixie Dust, so I picked up "Nyx, Vespa, & Chyna" just to try them out before I bought the whole collection & I am in love. I have never been a matte or glitter girl but this has changed both of those things for me. I'm currently wearing Nyx & I can't stop looking at my nails & I've seen pictures of them with top coats & they are just as gorgeous! I believe the promotion is on for 2 weeks but I'm really hoping they get in the Summer Pixie Dust collection before the sale's gone. I couldn't find "Godiva" (nude) so I went ahead and placed another order on Zoya.com since they have "free shipping" on any order until midnight tonight(April 30) so I can't wait until that get's here. My weekend Ulta Haul

Over the weekend I enjoyed a visit from my best friend MorningCupofBlog & of course we planned to get pedicures & a trip to Ulta. I had tons of things on my mind that I wanted to pick up but I knew that I realistically needed to narrow it down. I didn't need anything but I'd been eyeing a moisturizer & some nail polish additions so those were my targets.

  

Over on the polish aisle I was searching for essie Peach Daiquiri & OPI Dutch Tulips since I had just fallen in love with this shade while getting a pedicure earlier. I've also been really into purples so I picked up Sally Hansen Lacy Lavendar, which is absolutely gorgeous on the nails! I also stopped in the beauty section of CVS and snatched up Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Grey Area & can't wait to see how beautiful it is out of the bottle.

I've been searching for a matte brown eyeshadow for blending our my shimmery shadows & thought I had found one with "Deep Bronze", but when I checked it out at home it did have glitter so the search continues. I don't have many lip liners so I wanted to grab Nude or Natural, so after swatching them I settled on "Natural".

 

Finally, I made my way over to the Benefit skin care section to meet & greet with the moisturizer that I'd been lusting after. I opened the jar & it was everything and more of what I wanted it to be.  I started out with the sample size to find out how my skin reacts but so far so good & I can't wait to buy the full size, which is $38.

NYX Eyeshadows

Yesterday I made a stop at Ulta as I had a $3.50 off $10 coupon & to take advantage of their NYX buy 1 get 1 half off sale. I had the little guy with me so I went in quickly & picked up a few of the eyeshadows I'd been after. I nabbed Aloha, Rust, Pure Gold, & Peach Bronze; my goal was to find a few dupes for MAC shadows, because in all serious-ness I am a Stay at Home Mom & if I can get something dangerously similar than I'm going for it.  I've heard that Rust is a dupe for MAC's cranberry, & that Aloha is pretty darn close to Mac's Naked Lunch; whether they are or not doesn't interest me too much as I enjoy them all the same.

I already owned NYX Champagne & Taupe, originally I picked them up after falling in love with the colors right on the shelf. Champagne is comparible to MAC All That Glitters for those who care. Once again you will have to wait to see these on the eye since I am currently wearing a different shadow & I couldn't very well wear 6 at once.
