Ipsy Bag January 2014 "Fresh Start"

Our Ipsy bag for January 2014's theme is "Fresh Start" and the card reads: A kickoff so clean the possibilities are endless.  Get ready for a fantastic and flawless 2015.  I'm hoping that 2015 is an extraordinary year for Ipsy as I wasn't overly impressed with my bags in 2014.  Jut from opening my bag I'm already pleased with the items I got as the colors and items are perfect my taste other than the eyeliner.  I can see myself getting use from 4 out of 5 of the products.  The Elizabeth Mott eyeshadow brush will go to good use and it really is quite soft, we are no stranger to Elizabeth Mott as we've recently received a mascara, powder eyeshadow, and cream eyeshadow in past bags. Another returning brand in this bag was Pacifica with an eyeshadow, and I already know that I'm a huge fan of the brand from the nail polish, body butter, and Luminizing body butter we've previously received.  The only item in this month's bag that is so-so for me is the Hikari Eyeliner simple because I don't see myself using a charcoal gray eyeliner too much.  The oil based Malin + Goetz lip balm will definitely see some love as we are in the thick of Winter.  I can't wait to try out the Velvet 59 lip gloss, it's a nice neutral shade, is perfect for me. Ipsy October 2014 "Beauty Candy"

Happy Friday!

Today I'm sharing my October Ipsy bag with the theme "Beauty Candy". I always take a peek at my Glam Room before I receive my bag because I like to know what's coming and to be honest I wasn't too pumped about this bag.  This past week I happened to watch a YouTube video from MissGlamorazzi and actually was interested in the products she was using. When I received my bag I remembered 3 of the items she used in her Everyday Fall Makeup Routine and was instantly excited to use them.  I hope this bag grows on me even more this month as i use the products, I'll probably give away the Ecru hair balm but I see myself enjoying the lipstick, eyeliner, and cleansing cloths.  I've already tried the Ayres Body butter on my hands and it is a great thick cream for my dry Fall hands, the scent isn't my favorite but it works! Enjoy!

Pacifica 7 Free Nail Color NOTD Swatch & Review

Well, it's the start of a new week and I thought we could start off with a bang! This rich wine red shade belongs to Pacifica 7 Free Nail Color line and let me tell you, it is Amazing!  I knew the color was gorgeous as soon as I opened my September 2014 Ipsy bag but I didn't think the formula could be as amazing as it was.  This polish was opaque in one coat, however out of habit I used two. The formula applied no problem and I had no cleanup afterwards which is unheard for me with red polishes.  I had such a great experience that I immediately went over to the Pacifica website and loaded up my cart with must have shades since Ipsy is offering a discount until the end of the month.  Has anyone else tried this polish? I haven't heard much about it and I think it should be talked about so much more! Enjoy!

Ipsy September 2014 "Street Style"

Hi Guys!

Today I'd like to share my Ipsy bag for September, I was super excited for this bag to come since it had a couple of items that I'd been wanting to try.  I always have a sneak peek at my bag online before it comes because I just can't wait! If you follow my blog you know how much I enjoy trying out new polishes and how rare it is for me not to have tried a brand.  Pacifica is a brand that I've only enjoyed their body lotions and skincare products but i enjoy what they're made of and how fabulous they work and smell, I've tried the Pacifica Luminizing Body Butter & Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter.  I've also tried a product from the Nourish Organic (Nourish Organic Face Lotion) and while it wasn't my favorite, I didn't hate it. Ipsy Bag July 2014 "Sensationally Sunkissed"

Hi Friends!

Happy Almost-Friday! Today I'm sharing my Ipsy bag for the month of July with the theme of Sensational Sunkissed.  I have stopped looking for Ipsy bag sneak peeks and just wait until my bag arrives in my mailbox and I love the excitement of not knowing until I open it.

I would say that I'm excited to use 3 out of the 5 products that came in the bag. Immediately I was excited to give the bareMinerals 5 in 1 Cream Eyeshadow because I love cream shadows so much and I think this will pair very nicely with my bareMinerals 2.0, 4.0, & 8.0 (The Power Neutrals) palettes!  The next product that I knew I would love is the Pixi balm, I am a huge fan of lip crayons to the point that I have an embarassing amount of them.  The only problem with this one is the shade as I'm not a huge fan of pinks but maybe I'll step out of my box for this cute little lip crayon.

Last but certainly not least is the product that has simply blown my socks off, I haven't worn any other mascara since I tried this one and I get overly excited when I put this on in the morning; it's the Pur Minerals Big Look Waterproof Mascara.  I can't say enough about this mascara and have already picked up a full size of it.  I don't own any waterproof mascara because I've always worried about removing it but I don't even mind with this one, I love how it lengthens and separates but still manages to look normal. Ipsy Bag March 2014 "Destination Beauty"

Happy Thursday!

Last week I received my March Ipsy bag which is themed "Destination Beauty" and I am quite excited to use 2 of the 4 products.  I'm most excited to try use the NYX Love In Rio trio in Moonlit Skinny Dip, although I really enjoy large palettes I also enjoy the ease of a small palette that I can just throw in my purse or put together a look without thinking.  The other item I'm looking forward to using is the BareMinerals Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready, I will have swatches of both products below.  The first of the 2 that I wasn't too excited about is the Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer, because I have very sensitive skin and I've only found 1 primer that actually works well with my skin. The other is the Chella Indigo Blue Eyeliner and that is strictly because I don't wear eyeliner on a typical day, especially not blue eyeliner, so I've swapped it with a fellow blogger for the Be a Bomshell eyeshadow "quad" that others received in their bag. In addition to my bag this month I received 2 lip products due to the February Ipsy bag Pop Beauty fiasco which you can read over on Zadidoll's Blog.  I am pretty happy that Ipsy remedied the situation even if the problem was absolutely not their fault.I received Pop Beauty Plump Pout in Fuchsia Freesia & Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Anarchy.

Ipsy Bag February 2014 "The Look of Love"

Happy Tuesday!

This month's Ipsy bag theme is "The Look of Love" and I must say that I really am excited to try all of the products.  I'm already a fan of Zoya and have swatches of "Odette" here and I own a kit, mascara, and eyeshadow trio from a December Ipsy bag.  The City Color blush looks so pretty and I can't wait to use it, the name says its matte but it still has a little bit of sheen to it.  The Nume Renewal Mask is perfect for me this month as my skin is waging an all out war on me.  I've never tried anything from Tini Beauty but I do love cream shadows and "" is just the prettiest bronze color and I can see myself wearing it a ton over the Summer. Nail of the Day Nicka K "Classic Taupe"

Hi friends!

Today I'm sharing swatches from a Nicka K polish named: Classic Taupe, that I received in my December Ipsy bag f To be honest I wasn't too impressed with the shade just from looking at it in the bottle but I fell in love once I applied it.  These pictures are with 2 coats and it was completely opaque, it shows up as an incredibly rich brown-gray and I can't wait to wear it again.  I wore Classic Taupe with CND's Stickey Base Coat and Seche Vite's Fast Dry Top Coat for a week straight with very minimal tip wear; I honestly only changed it because I was ready for a shade change.  I'm actually thinking of adding more Nicka K to my collection just because this one impressed me so much. Enjoy!

Ipsy Bag November 2013 " Glam It Up"

Hi friends!

I got my Ipsy bag a few days ago & I can't say that I was overly thrilled with the contents but I am okay with the items I got.  I was really hoping to get the em michelle phan mascara but I got a lip balm instead so I may use the 30% code to still pick that up from the website. I'm not too crazy about the hairspray as I've been receiving that type of thing in my bag a lot.  I also got a bronzer, lip crayon, and nail color which are all nice but I just was hoping for something cool and different this month. Did you love anything in your bag this month?

Ipsy Bag October 2013 "The Art of Beauty"

Hi friends!

Here is my Ipsy bag this month, not much to say about it as 3 of the items are what I'd consider: "beauty staples", things you need in your day-to-day makeup routine.  The SH blowdry gel, CS medium shadow brush, & LF cleanser wipes are all things that are needed in most ladies every day so it's nice to try different brands out.  I was hoping to get the lotion in my bag since we just switched to Fall and I have the most dry skin on the planet but I can just as easily pick some up on my next Target run! Ipsy Bag September 2013 "Classic Beauty"

Hi guys!

Today I have my September Ipsy bag for you, the theme this month is: "Classic Beauty" & I guess that meant basic beauty.  It included every day things that you may need in your beauty routine. I was most excited about the eyeliner and eyebrow pencil, I don't currently use an eyebrow pencil but have heard it can change your whole face.  Mostly everyone uses the Anastasia brow wiz but I'm not quite ready to take the $21 plunge for something I don't use everyday. Eyeliner is pretty simple on the other hand, it either works in the water line or doesn't so that should be pretty easy to test out. Pictures and swatches are below, & as usual; Enjoy!

Ipsy Bag August 2013 "Glamour Academy"

Hi guys!

This month was the first month that I haven't really paid attention to anything coming in my Ipsy bag & I'm pretty glad. I was pleased with the bag this month but not overly excited as I usually am. I got a wide range of products but really liked other variations of the bag that others received. Ipsy Bag June 2013 "on the Wild Side"

Welcome back!

Long time no type, i've been so busy & really haven't had much to share but  I am kicking it up a notch with new posts this week. In this post I am sharing my June Ipsy Bag, titled: "on the Wild Side". This wasn't my favorite bag & it's hard when you see other bags & wish you had gotten some of their goodies but as I've said before, as I may have not loved this bag it may have been right up someone else's alley.  I think i'll get the most use out of the Chella Highlighter pencil & NYX blush, I don't own anything Chella but I do have a few NYX blushes both cream & powder & they are pretty good quality. Ipsy Bag April 2013 "Pretty In Pink"

This month's theme is: "Pretty in Pink" & I have to say that I liked the bag much more than I thought I would, from the sneak peeks I wasn't too excited but now that it's here I can honestly say I will enjoy everything that came in it. I actually am already wearing the nail polish, it's funny because I was searching high & low for a new pink polish that I didn't have something similar to it & I received this. It's almost a jelly finish & it wears well for Spring on my nails since I could use a break from pastels. Enjoy!
