Pacifica 7 Free Nail Color NOTD Swatch & Review

Well, it's the start of a new week and I thought we could start off with a bang! This rich wine red shade belongs to Pacifica 7 Free Nail Color line and let me tell you, it is Amazing!  I knew the color was gorgeous as soon as I opened my September 2014 Ipsy bag but I didn't think the formula could be as amazing as it was.  This polish was opaque in one coat, however out of habit I used two. The formula applied no problem and I had no cleanup afterwards which is unheard for me with red polishes.  I had such a great experience that I immediately went over to the Pacifica website and loaded up my cart with must have shades since Ipsy is offering a discount until the end of the month.  Has anyone else tried this polish? I haven't heard much about it and I think it should be talked about so much more! Enjoy!

Sally Hansen Triple Shine "Red Snapper"

Today's Nail of the Day is one of Sally Hansen's new formula called Triple Shine. This was the first polish I've tried from this line and I really enjoyed it, the formula and shade are beautiful.  The dry time was quick and I couldn't stop staring at my nails while I was wearing this.  I picked up 4 more of these and I'll hopefully be sharing these in a future Nail of the Day!

Nail of the Day Revlon "Marmalade"

This Nail of the Day was taken on one of the last few days on Winter when I had just had it with the weather.  I usually reserve my oranges or tangerines for the heat of Summer but I pulled this one out to hopefully push Winter on it's way! Application of this was good, I really enjoy the Revlon Colorstay polish formula and it's usually opaque in 2 coats.  Enjoy!

Nail of the Day Zoya "Bela" & Essie LuxeEffects "Set in Stones"

Hi Guys! Hope you all are having a lovely Monday, today I have a Zoya shade that I've probably wanted the longest and just never ordered paired with my favorite Essie LuxEffects.  I often watch AprilAthena7's beauty videos regularly and one of her go-to polish picks is Zoya's "Dot" for a clean pink neutral nail  and my favorite from the Essie LuxEffects, "Set in Stones".  I enjoyed these together and I can see myself wearing these alot this Summer when I want something simple, classic, and don't know what to do with my nails. Enjoy!

Nail of the Day Zoya "Dream"

Happy Friday Friends!
Today I'm sharing Zoya's "Dream" from the 2013 Holiday Zenith collection.  This shade is a beautiful medium blue with holographic glitters throughout. I really enjoyed this color and would clump it together with Aurora and Payton, which are also beautiful colors that contain suspended holographic.  When the light hits these shades they become even more gorgeous and sparkly but they are pretty indoors as well! The application is simple with these and removal is even easier so I would definitely recommend these! Enjoy!

Nail of the Day Zoya "Lux"

It's Monday again but I have something truly Magical to share!  My first to try, of Zoya's new Magical Pixie Dust collection "Lux", I was bursting at the seems to dig into this shade when my set arrived.  When I applied this I couldn't believe how much sparkle it had and kept staring at my nails.  The application is a little tricky as the formula is significantly thicker than the normal or even Pixie Dust Zoya. This is the pink glitter in the collection and the blue is just as gorgeous, haven't tried the Silver at this point yet but I imagine it will probably be just as amazing and give a crushed diamond effect. Enjoy!

Nail of the Day Zoya "Rebel" & "Vega"

Hello!

Happy Monday and here's to hoping that this week is much better than last week!  I was very excited to try out this combo that Zoya shared on their facebook a while ago I loved it just as much on myself.  The colors go so well together! In this manicure I combined "Vega" with "Rebel" for a shimmery sparkly look that I loved wearing and received a few compliments in Ulta on.  Each polish is with 2 coats and only a top coat on "Rebel".  Zoya has a great short video on removing  Magical Pixie Dust as it can be a little more tricky to remove so be sure to check that out if you're interested in picking up any from the line.  Enjoy!

Nail of the Day Zoya "Dot"

Hi guys!

Happy Friday! This week has been a doozy but I'm a happy to share another shade from Zoya's Awaken Spring 2014 Collection called "Dot". Dot is a pretty pastel pink and honestly the shade that I was most excited to try out.  I had no problems with application other than I didn't seem to have a steady hand this day. I love how clean and girly a baby pink looks on the nails so I can see myself getting tons of use out of this one even though it was a little on the thicker side for Zoya.  Enjoy!

Nail of the Day Zoya "Hudson"

Hi Guys!

I'm back with my Nail of the Day posts and can't wait to get them started again! Today I have for you, Zoya "Hudson" which is the perfect cotton candy lavender from their Spring 2014 Awaken Collection.  I have enjoyed trying these out and wearing them even though we haven't exactly been experiencing Spring weather around the Carolinas, it's nice to look down and see a pop of Spring on my nails. As usual with all Zoya's this polish was easy to apply and easy to remove, it lasted on my nails with minimal tip wear as you can see below after 3 days. I completely forgot to take a fresh new pic when I applied the color so this is what I have to show. Enjoy!

Nail of the Day OPI Gwen Stefani Collection "Hey Baby"

Today's Nail of they Day is from the OPI Gwen Stefani collection and is named "Hey Baby"! This pink creme shade immediately grabbed my attention because it's just to so beautiful.  I can see myself wearing this a ton on my fingers and toes this Summer!  I applied this with 2 seemingly flawless coats and had no problems with staining when I removed it.

Nail of the Day Formula X by Sephora "Blazing"

Hey Friends!  Friday's Nail of the Day is Formula X by Sephora in "Blazing" and this is my first purchase from the new line.  I wanted to try Infinite but once I saw that shade in person I didn't like it as much, I will probably still try that shade but I'm a sucker for deep, rich, complex reds as you can see here, here, and here!  I have this shade in so many different brands but I always buy it over and over again, so much that I've stopped even bargaining with myself when finding a new one! When removing it I had a little trouble with my cuticles and fingertips and actually had to wait a few days before the skin of my nails would return to normal color.  The formula was a little on the thick side but the color was just so pretty!

Nail of the Day Essie "First Timer"

Happy Wednesday!  Today's Nail of the Day is Essie's First Timer and this was my first time using it since buying it over the Summer.  I really love Green shades all year round and this was definitely a Fall mood lifter for me! Essie describes this shade as a newbie fresh green and I would agree, this is with 2 coats and it applied flawlessly.  Compared to Zoya's "Josie" I would say this is a touch more of a pastel shade. I had no problems removing it and I'm excited to use this again as a pedicure!

Nail of the Day Essie After School Boy Blazer & Hors D'oeuvres

The Nail of the Day today is Essie's "After School Boy Blazer" with an Essie "Hors D'oeuvres" accent nail.  I absolutely love deep navy blue as a nail polish but sometimes I feel it can be harsh so I like to pair it up with a glitter accent nail.  This shade had a great application as my Essie's usually do and I only applied 2 coats for good measure.  I would say this is a deeper navy than Essie's "Bobbing for Baubles" but in it's own way different.  Surprisingly it wasn't difficult to remove at the end of my manicure, I can't wait to use this one again!

Nail of the Day Nicka K "Classic Taupe"

Hi friends!

Today I'm sharing swatches from a Nicka K polish named: Classic Taupe, that I received in my December Ipsy bag f To be honest I wasn't too impressed with the shade just from looking at it in the bottle but I fell in love once I applied it.  These pictures are with 2 coats and it was completely opaque, it shows up as an incredibly rich brown-gray and I can't wait to wear it again.  I wore Classic Taupe with CND's Stickey Base Coat and Seche Vite's Fast Dry Top Coat for a week straight with very minimal tip wear; I honestly only changed it because I was ready for a shade change.  I'm actually thinking of adding more Nicka K to my collection just because this one impressed me so much. Enjoy!

Nail of the Day OPI Gwen Stefani Collection "Over & Over A-Gwen"

Today's Nail of the Day is a red hot polish from the OPI for Gwen Stefani collection called "Over & Over A-Gwen".  When I saw the new collection I knew I had to have this one, I'm always on a search for a rich and bright red that just wows me! This one was a little bit deeper than in the bottle but it was still gorgeous! The shade looks very similar to "Red Lights Ahead...Where?" in the bottle but "RLAW" is much more orange based and "Off With Her Red!" is a brighter red as well. I applied 2 coats and a top coat and had no problems as I usually don't with OPI polishes however the while I was removing it I noticed a little red staining on my cuticles.

Nail of the Day Zoya "Areej"

Nail of the Day today is Zoya Areej, I picked this up during the Earth Day exchange special that Zoya runs each year.  I went back and forth on this shade for a while because it was so similar to a color that I already own. The shade is very similar to Zoya "Reagan" but more pink and lighter in color. As always with Zoya, my two coat application was a breeze and removal was the same with Zoya Remove Plus+.

Nail of the Day CoverGirl "Grapevine"

Today's Nail of the Day: Covergirl's Grapevine is one that I purchased well over a year ago, sometimes I get obsessed with a collection and have to buy as many shades as possible.  That is exactly what happened with the Covergirl Outlast Nail Gloss polishes, I fell in love with the formula and bought quite a few and have a lot of untrieds.  This shade is so pretty in the bottle and equally pretty on the nail with two coats.  This polish is supposed to have a base coat, polish, and top coat all in one as well as lasting 7 days; I've never had it last 7 but 5 days is the usual length.  The color is similar to Zoya "Mason" but much more purple toned.  Enjoy!

Nail of the Day OPI Mariah Carey Collection "In My Santa Suit"

I have made no secret or even tried to hide my unexplainable love for rich, red, & slightly metallic red polishes; especially from OPI (they seem to do it best!).  When I saw the OPI Mariah Carey collection "In My Santa Suit" it was only a matter of time! As soon as I got this one home I put it on and it instantly wow'ed me with the brilliance of the red, I'm not so much a sucker a normal red but the shades with this special sheen get me every time.  It applied well in 2 coats with a shine that I couldn't take my eyes off of and I wore it for about a week minimal tip wear using my Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat.  This color rivals My favorite red of all time Zoya "Elisa" but Elisa is a shade or 2 deeper.

Nail of the Day Essie "Bobbing for Baubles"

I picked up this beauty in the same order as "Island Hopping" and have to say that I enjoy it just as much.  I strayed away from Essie for a while because I had so many and the recent collections weren't speaking to me but lately I've gone back to them and it's made all the difference.  I've noticed my mani's lasting longer, richer colors, and just overall better looking nail looks.  This polish is a deep, rich, slightly-lighter navy blue and it applies darker than in the bottle as you can see from the picture.  I had no problem removing it and loved how easy it was to apply in just 2 coats.  I usually have issues with dark polishes ad keeping my nail beds clean but this was a gem and I can't wait to wear it again!  This is a much lighter more cloudy blue than "After School Boy Blazer" and "No More Film" has more purple tones in it. Enjoy!

Nail of the Day Essie "Island Hopping" & Revlon "Girly"

Happy Sunday!

Today's Nail of the Day is Essie's "Island Hopping", I added this one to my list after watching one of TheStyleDiet's videos where she mentioned it.  I am a huge fan of dusty purples so this was perfect for me, I actually purchased it on Amazon along with "Bobbing for Baubles".  This polish was a lighter in color than I expected but as usual with Essie, it applied great in 2 coats.  The shade is a deeper and more mauve version of "In Stitches" and is very close to Butter London's "Toff".  I wore it by itself for a day and then added Revlon's "Girly" to it for a bit of sparkle. Enjoy!
